WOLFE'S NECK

June 14, 2017

Before the heatwave swept over Maine, we were experiencing a bit of a dreary spring. Not letting the damp weather get us down we decided to make the most of it and venture to where the woods meet the sea. Luckily, we didn't have to go far!

To be completely honest I'm kind of in love with moody weather. A soft blanket of fog covered they bay and lingered amongst the trees setting a mystical tone over the coastal forest, poetic in its beauty.

We wandered along the trails breathing in the deep pine scent and stumbled upon the pefect place to enjoy lunch.

There's nothing like a picnic by the sea...

After spending a few hours soaking in all of the nature we decided to make our way back home. But first we made sure to stop by the farm down the road to pet the baby sheep, goats and cows! We're really loving this coastal New England life!!

STREET & CO

March 28, 2017

The other weekend Austin's parents came for a visit! We knew we wanted to go out to eat in Portland and I had been dreaming about having dinner at Street and Company since we moved to the area. Typically you have to make a reservation way in advance, but with a little bit of luck we were able to get in with just a few weeks notice! The menu features fresh seafood prepared in a variety of delectable ways. We started off with cocktails and local oysters, then moved on to grilled octopus and calamari (the octopus was exceptional) I went with a whole Bronzino fish, Austin went with the Arctic char, and his parents both went with the Tuna bolognese. The meal was topped off with creamy panicotta drizzled in black current sauce, which was the perfect complement of sweet and tart. The food was absolutely incredible! We ended the evening with drinks at Central Provisions, one of our go-to spots! My poor iPhone photos do not do it justice...

Thank you Matt and Leslie for a fantastic evening!

CAMDEN

November 28, 2016

This post is longggg over due. A few months ago, when the sun still shone past four o'clock, we were able to get away for a mini vacation two hours north along the coast. Our week was filled with plenty of wine, homemade pasta, a sunset sail, a hike with a stunning view, kayaking, a lot of eating out, quality time with the best people... I could go on but I'll just let the photos speak for themselves...
